My dad is the king of organizing pantries. If you want to irritate my dad, just move a can of soup into the canned vegetable section. My parent's pantry is every organizer's dream.
The cans are divided into type (soup, vegetables, fruits, soda, snacks etc), then subdivided into kind (tomato soup, chicken noodle etc). Every can is lined up perfectly behind the other with all labels facing forward. You can see each can and find anything in under 5 seconds.
